Daily Readings - Introduction

My name is Jeremy Reid. I have been reading the 'One Year Bible' for a few months now, but have decided to start this blog to document my daily readings. I have found that if I have to create a small summary of something I just read, it forces me to think about what I read and therefor will hopefully bring me closer to the word.

Recently (about 2-3 months ago) I started going back to church. I'm not sure what originally made me want to go back but either way I did. I researched some churches in my area (Orange County, CA) and found one not too far from my house that seemed like it would be a good fit.

I have been going ever since. I love it and my relationship with God has never been stronger. I have been a christian for many years but most of those years I didn't live like one. I have seen things many people wouldn't want to see, I have done things many people don't want to do, I take my past experiences as an lesson learned and a way that I can hopefully empathize with others and their problems.

I can only hope that if someone else reads this and the summary of my daily readings that it will encourage them to start reading the bible or in some way bring them closer to the lord.
